CRIMES OF VIOLENCE.

MURDERS OP TWO WOMEN. TWO MYSTERIOUS AFFAIRS. London, Dec. 27. Magistrates and the police are commenting on the continued prevalence of capital crimes. The latest examples include the mysterious murder of Kathleen Breaks, a young and beautiful married woman, who was stabbed in the neck and head. Her body was found on a lonely beach between Blackpool and Stannes-on-Sea. Frederick Rothwell Holt, a young man and a former army officer, has been arrested and charged with the murder.

Another strange case is reported from Liverpool. Bella Wilson, a middle-aged woman, was found in the street with several stabs. Her body was nudo, her clothes being piled near by. It is believed that she was murdered by a madman. ,

Investigation by the Times into the Breaks murder indicates that death was lingering, and due to shock, loss of blood and exposure, extending for many hours. Tlfe loneliness of the scene of the crime left only the slenderest hope of timely discovery. The dead woman had been separated from her husband for eighteen months, and the tragedy is apparently the result of a love affair.
