SELECTION OF STAFF. SIR. L. HALSEY MAY COME. London, Dec. 21. Rear-Admiral Sir Lionel Halsey, Captain E, W. M. Grigg, and Commander Dudley North, who remain on the Prince of Wales' staff, are likely to be invited to accompany him to Australia and New Zealand, in shnilar capacities to those in which they travelled to Canada. Captain Grigg was formerly the Dominions' editor of The Times. He visited the Commonwealth and wrote a brilliant series of articles, and became editor of the Round Table. He was General Staff Officer to the Guards Division during the war, and is the Prince's political adviser. He is reputed to be largely responsible for the Prince's outstanding statements interpreting the Dominions' nationalism.
Commander Dudley North served on the battlecruiser New Zealand and was Admiral Halsey's favorite staff officer.' It is officially stated that the appointments to the Prince's staff will not be made for some time.
The visit will be a full State visit, complete with royal ceremonials, Princess Mary is anxious to accompany her brother, to whom she is warmly attached, but it is unlikely that her wish Will be granted, because it would he impossible to accommodate her on a battleship, and the King and Queen dp not desire to remove a finer from the important repatriation trade and reconstruction work.
