The town of Couzetlatt was destroyed by Saturday's earthquake, involving a thousand deaths. The entire 'garrison of Teocelo was killedA dozen towns in the Vera Cruz State were partly or totally destroyed. The village of Calcahualoo was engulfed, with numbers of'its inhabitants.
