The principal business was the preparation of memoranda and articles of association so that registration may be effected early in February when active' operations will commence. Negotiations will follow for purchase of three large organisations, the Farmers' Cooperative Association of South Africa, and the Australian Producers' Wholesale Co-operative Federation. It arranged for preliminary investigations to Be made by representative co-oper-ative men in London with a view of establishing n federation there for the dual object of buying and selling. The first issue of shares will be 3000 at £lO and subscription will be confined to those companies engaged in the distribution of primary products.
