A pairs tournament was held on the Hawera green on Monday, the weather being ideal Twenty-eight players took part, McLaren (with five wins and one loss) securing premier place hin6ng the skips, and Butler (without a loss) among the leads. The Stratford Bowling Club will open the season on Thursday afternoon.
