A TARANAKI WILL CASE.
AN APPLICATION TO THE SUPREME COURT. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. An application by Hannah Mary Silvester, her son, and two daughters for' adequate provision under the will of the late Frederick Silvester, farmer, of Inaha, Taranaki, was heard in the Supreme Court to-day. The value of the estate was estimated at anything between £3OOO and £6OOO, according to the price which would be obtained by the sale of 06 acres of land in Taranaki. The widow had been left £4O per year; one of the daughters (Mrs. Shearer) had received a legacy of £IOO, and her children received £350, the son received Is, and another daughter received Is, while Mrs S. MacKav (a daughter) and her daughter eacti received £IOO. The rest of the estate was given to cousins, nephews, and nieces (one of whom—Mrs. King) of Sydneyreceived £1200).
As there was some doubt as to the valuation of the freehold property in Taranaki, the ease was adjourned until Monday, the Public Trustee, in the meantime, to take steps to sell the land at £ reasonable price.
