RETURNING TROOPS.

THE REMUERA AT AUCKLAND. By Telegraph.—Press Association, Auckland, Last Night. The transport Remuera arrived this morning and berthed at eleven o'clock. The vessel had an uneventful voyage. The southern men leave by special train jit 7.20 to-night. Another Victoria Cross winner returned by the Remuera in the person of Lieutenant John Giilroy Grant, of Hawera. ARRIVAL OF THE lONIC, Wellington, Oct. 25. The lonic arrived at r>.3o to-day and was berthed as a clean ship. She brought 35 officers, 7 nurses, 312 of other ranks, 356 women, 90 children, and five Imperial officers.
