Wilson (Secretary for Labor) for the settlement of the coal strike. At the request of President Wilson the delegates representing the public will remain at the Industrial Conference to seek a solution of the industrial problems. The employers' delegates have been excused from further attendances. — Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. Received Oct. 20, 11.5 p.m. New York, October 25. A message from Washington reports that the operators consent to the request of Mr W. B. Wilson (Secretary for Labor) to confer with a view to a settlement of the coal dispute, but the miners refused.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
