GERMAN INDEMNITY.
STEPS FOR RECOVERY. By Telegraph.—Pfess Assn.—Copyright. London, Oct. 23. In the House of Commons at question time Mr. Cecil Harmsworth stated that steps to recover an indemnity from Germany could not be taken until the treaty was ratified, but much preliminary work had been done by a committee representing the principal Governments concerned. In particular deliveries, under annexes four and five of the treaty had commenced. Mr. W. C. Bridgeman stated that the Government had been informed that Germany had no great quantity of goods to export at present.—Reuter.
