MARLBOROUGH V. WEST COAST. • By Telegraph.—Press Association. Greymouth, last Night. What promised to be a splendid game ot representative football between Marlborough and West Coast was spoilt by Ihe heavy downpour, which commenced just after play started and continued throughout the game, which ended in a draw, both sides scoring a try, unconverted. Steele- scored for the Coast by running the- full length of the field and outpacing the visitors. Fuller scored for Marlborough.

Soon afterwards the Australians converted defence Into attack, and the full-back passed to Horder, who raced half the length of the Held and scored a magnificent try. Surge converted. The Management Committee of the New Zealand Rugby Union to-night appointed Captain Jones to the vacancy on tho Referees' Appointment Hoard caused by the resignation of Mr. D. A. Tarris. .Messrs. E. Wylle, 0. M. Dixon, and A. Laurei:Son forwarded tbclr resignations as trustees of tho .New Zealand Rugby Union, and Messrs. Hlade, Cook, and Howe were appointed to fill the vacancies. The Mniuwatu Union notified 1t had disqualified for life two players, one for striking a referee and using obscene language, and tho other for returning lo the field after being ordered off for knocking a player unconscious. The disqualifications were approved. TARANAKI-WANGANUI MATCH. THE TARANAKI TEAM.
