TROUBLE AT TARAKOHE. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Nelson, Last Night. Trouble oecured at Tarakohe cement work.B last Thursday, resulting in the works closing down. The loading and unloading of vessels bringing coal and other supplies and taking away cement has in the past been carried out by the works staff. The regular workmen now demand waterside rates of pay for this Work,, which the manager declines to ronrede. At midnight on Thursday the men censed discharging coal from the Regulus, refusing to proceed at overtime rates, and labor was not forthcoming later to load cement on to the Kennedy. The manager thereupon closed down the Works.
