VETERANS' ASSOCIATION.

ANNUAL MEETING. -' The annual meeting of the New Plymouth branch of the New Zealand Veteran's Association was held on Saturday afternoon, the Ven. Archdeacon Evans presiding over an attendance of about fifteen veterans. The balance-sheet as presented by the treasurer, which showed a credit balance of £9 10s lOd, was unanimously adopted.

Officers were elected as follows: Vicepresident, Ven. Archdeacon Evans; secretary, Captain J. Black; treasurer, Mr. G. A. Adlam; committee, Messrs G. A. Adlam, J. Andrews, T. P. Lister, J. Kenyon. 0. Oxenham, H. Newland, and W. P. Brooking; representative on the centfal executive, Lieut. T. Humphries; auditor, Mr. W. D. Webster. Appreciation was expressed of the way in which the officers—especially the secretary and treasurer—had carried out the work of the branch, and they were accorded a hearty vote of thanks.

On the motion of the chairman a vote of condolence was passed with the relatives of the brethren who had passed away during the year. The motion was carried in the customary manner. It was decided that in future the date of the annual 'meeting be altered from the second to the third Saturday in August.
