INGLEWOOD.

(From Our Own Correspondent.) Inglewood, March 14. Dry weather lias been experienced for over a month, and rairi will be welcomed. Mademoiselle Dolores was accorded a great reception at the Town Hall, which was filled to the doors last evening. The New Plymouth Citizens' Band will visit Inglewood next Sunday afternoon and render a musical programme at the recreation grounds. In the past, members of the band have journeyed out here to assist in local functions. The proceeds will be devoted to augmenting tiie band's funds, and it is to be hoped that residents will turn out and render assistance. Plans and specifications of a new Sunday School building for the Knox Presbyterian Church are out, and the building will be in the course of construction shortly. Mr. Fraser, M.P., addressed an audience of about 30 persons at the Parish Hall on Wednesday evening. The Mayor occupied the chair. The old established Union grocery and bakery business, together with the buildings in Moa Street, were submitted to auction last- Wednesday morning, and were bought in at the upset figure. The Boy Scouts' church parade was held last Sunday morning. Mr. Ireland, missioner, conducted the service.

Lieut. W. H. Humphrey has recommenced control of the Cadet corps. In all probability Colonel Cossgrove. head of the New Zealand Boy Scout, movement, will visit the Scout exhibition which is to be held here shortly.
