NEW ZEALAND'S SHARE . LOSSES IN BIG BATTLES. The campaigns and tattles that the New Zealand troops were engaged in during the world war, 1914-1918, are shown by the following statement from the official report issued 011 Thursday:— A table giving the total New Zealand casualties in the field month by month shows that New Zealand suffered approximately the following losses in dead, missing, prisoners, and wounded in the various big battles: — Landing at Anzac and subsequent battles April-May, 1915 2800 August Offensive, 19113, Gallipoli 4000 Battle of the Somrue, September, 1916 8000 Rattle of Messines, June, 1917 .. <ISOO Battle of Passchendaele, October, 1917 7500 German Offensive, March-May, 101.8 &000 British Offensive, August-Novem-ber, 1918 9000
