Stratford will be well represented at Hawera on Wednesday and Thursday. Both Desert Gold and Gloaming passed through here on the 2 p.m. train for Hawera. Among a number of horses lon the same train were Ai'terfflow, BoPeep, Cotillion, and Fulica. Entries are coming in very freely and the pedi:ree classes promise to be above the ordinary. Pigs should be particularly roiid this year, as Mr Walls, of Hastings, has promised to enter freoly in this sec- I tion. Tbe jumping competitions also j promise well- The parade this year will, be held at 1.30 p.m. and it has also been ! decided to reinstate the canine parade. The committee are working hard to .insure the success of the show, and although quite a lot of voluntary work has already been done by members on M:e show proundn, more remains to be done, and the executive would be glad to see any volunteers on the ground.
