ACTRESS' LIBEL ACTION SETTLED. London, Feb. 4. The libel action, Fay Coiripton versus the Sunday newspaper News of The World, was settled by the newspaper apologising and paying 100 guineas to the Edward Oompton Theatre Girls' fund. Plaintiff complained of the publication of her photograph alongside others mentioned in connection with the Carlton case, which suggested that she participated in dopeing.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
