EFFICACY OF BLOCK SYSTEM. Christchurch, Feb. 0. A meeting of representatives of various organisations was held this afternoon and took initial steps for setting U|> an adequate organisation to cope with any further epidemics in the city and country. The great value of the block system in the city during the recent epidemic was strongly empl\\sised, one speaker saying that many lives had ■bw;n saved by the adoption by the Cliristchurch doctors of the block system.
