Liebkneeht'o funeral was not attended by disorder, owing to the imposing military display, The Spartacists intended .forcing their way through, bnt strong cordons nipped the plan in the bud, and' also shut off wiae areas of the inner city, which presented the appearance of an anned camp, with field guns and ma'chine guns in various positions. The soldiers in the Wilhelmstrasse exhibited a huge posters "Halt. Whoever tries to pass -ssriil foe shot dead."
