THE NEW POLAND* COMPRISES PART OF PRUSSIA. Copenhagen. Dec. 20. The Polish Government has decreed that the election of the National Assembly will take place on January 28. The area comprises the eastern provinces of Prussia. The German press strongly protests, alleging that the Poles desire to annex German territories.—Aus. N.Z. Cable Assoc.
THE. LETTISH GOVERNMENT. WANTS ALLIED PROTECTION. Washington, Deo. 20. The Lettish Government has appealed to the United States in common with the Alliea for protection against the Bolsheviks. The withdrawal of the Germans from Lithuania is leaving the country at the mercy of the Bolsheviks. ESTHONIA APPEALS TO THE ENTENTE. Berne, Dec. 20.
