Tenni?.—After many postponements, in consequence of the influenza epidemic, the New Plymouth Tennis and Croquet Club held its formal opening last Saturday afternoon, and was favored with glorious weather. Afternoon tea was dirieused by Mesdames Penn, Johns, G. Kebbell, Misses Wade and Simpson. Amongst those present were Mesdames J. C Nicholson, E. Blundel), S. Allen,. E. King, Morrison, A. Webster, J.
