ELTHAM.

(From Our Own Correspondent) Eltham. Feb. 14. There was a large attendance of members and visitors at the meeting of the Loyal Eltham Lodge of Oddfellows, M.U., last evening, N.G. Bro. D. Clement in the chair. The lodge was honored by a visit of the district officers, P.G.M. ttro. T. Lawson (Stratford), P.D.O.M. Bro. A. L. Roberts, Acting P.C.S. Bro. 0, S. Papps. Other visiting officers were: P.P.G.M. Bro. Allen and P.O. Bro. Spragg (Hawera), and Sister Wasley (Stratford). Lodge honors were extended to the visitors. Bros. Lawson, Roberts and Papps, in acknowledging the greetings, touched on several matters affecting the welfare of the Order, and also congratulated the local lodge on the fine record in membership it had established. P.P.G.M. Bro. F. Amoor forwarded fraternal greetings, and also offered a brooch for competition as the lodge thought fit. The annual district meeting is to be held in Eltham on March 7.

The new D.B. of the Foresters' Order, Bro. J. Andrews, is the first member of the local court honored with the position of district officer. The court is young in years, but has a good record for enthnsiusm, and hopes to get going again as soon as the war permits members to settle down to court routine once mere.
