EVERYBODY'S. LAST NIGHT OF CARLYLE BLACKWELL IN "YOUTH/' "I am abjectly ashamed." Thiß is the conclusion of ohe of the most powerful situations in '■Youth' where the hero, half tipsy lias inveigled the girl into the cabin of' his houseboat. To his utter dismay, she proves not only to lie totally dfferent from the frivolous light women he has hitherto met, but she is easily his physical superior- And so, on coming to his senses, he realise what he has done. Carlyle Blackwell, June. Klvidge and Muriel Ostriche are (he costars in this fine World film which is showing for the last time to-ni^bt. TO-MORROW. The star item on the new progr.i'nr.ie for to-morrow and \V>- "r.esday w'. 1 be the Fox feature, "The Victim," with lovely Valeska Suratt in the lead., THE KMl'lilE. CHARMING BESSIE LOVE IX "A SISTER OF SIX." A genuine surprise story is told in "A Sister of Six," the Triangle drama screening at The Empire to-nigHt and two following nights. It features Bessie Love and six of the clever Triangle kiddies, but its plot is ot a totally unexpected kind It commences with ecmk-s in which the pathos of a family of seven orphans left suddenly to the tender mercies of a harsh old uncle, and swiftly turns to a stirring melodrama of the Californian border. A rich Spanish rancher has his eye on the Winthorp s property which he has discovered to tontain a goldbcaring reefl His method of getting it is his own, and is quite regardless of law. He collects a gang of reckless desperados and makes open war There are some unique scenes when the children all realise that something serious is afoot- They rush for hiding places. The final scene is intensely dramatic. The little heroine finds herself cut off from her homestead, and alone in an isolated cabin with the leader of the band. In desperation. is he forces his loathsome attentions upon her she snatched a rille and shoots liim dead. The setting is wonderful and full of realism. The programme also includes the seventh episode of "The Secret Kingdom."
