FURTHER DECISIONS, . By Telegraph.—Press Association.' Dunedin, Nor. 20. At the Presbyterian Assembly, appß* cations for admission as ministers were dealt with as follows: Rov James logs received, the year's probation to bp dispensed with and Alfred John Davis received as a licentiate with one year's probation. Rev. John Lowden, Weat Coast, received after two years' extra course. Rev. Frank McDonald, Taihipe, received after one year's probation, on condition that he satisfied the theological committee as to his. general education. An overture from the Wang&nui Presbytery, asking for the recognition and endorsement of the Presbyterian Hen's League was unanimously adopted. The Assembly affirmed the desirability of a fund for the benefit of women workers, and sent the suggested regulations back to the committee with instructions to take the best expert advice available, to revise the regulations and send them to the Presbyterioe and parties interested for consideration, the committee to report to the next Assembly. It was resolved to alter the constitution of lona College by appointing six ministers, instead of three, and nine laymen on the Council.

Tile report on the Melrose Girls' College, Invercargill, showed that the committee had decided to raise necessary capital by the formation of ai limited liability company with an issue of sharee to the value of £3OOO. It was proposed to appeal for £ISOO in gift. Miss Gibson, now on the staff of the Wellington Girls' College, has been appointed principal. The report was adopted.

The Assembly decided to charge 5 pef pent, on the income of all funds for tlie Assembly Fund, with tjie exception of income derived from debentures and scholarship funds; that the income from such institutions as the orphanage, which passed through the treasurer's hands, but for the disbursement of which he was not responsible, be assessed at 21 per cent., and that a substantial fund in the Otairo patriotic and relief funds and sites and building funds be exempt therefrom. The assembly decided to appoint a committee to consult with the treasurer nnd guide him when advice was required, the committee taking the financial responsibility. A commission of the Assembly was Bet lip to deal with matters submitted to it by the church property trustees and all natters arising out of the treasurership.
