This increases the possibility of a declaration of war against Austria, MARINES AVAILABLE FOR MEXICO. New York, Nov. 26. The Washington correspondent of the New York HeraW states that the Navy Department is fully prepared to send a formidable force of marines to Tampico, Mexico, without delay should the antiAlly element imperil the oilfields. •LIQUIDATING ENEMY COMPANIES. New York, Nov. 26. Mr. McAdoo has ordered the liquida-. tion of German fire, marine, and casualty insurance companies doing business in the United States. i TEUTON CONCERT TOUR ABANDONED. New York, Nov. 06. Consequent on public hostility, Herr Kreisler has abandoned his concert tour in the United States, forfeiting 85,000 dollars.
BOLSHEVIKS NOT RECOGNISED. New York, Nov. 20. The Washington correspondent of the United Press reports that President Wilson has received the Bolsheviks' proposal for an armistice and universal peace. The State Department says that America will not consent to an armistice and will not'negotiate for peace. It is not known if Mr. Wilson will reply, as the rtply may be construed as a recognition of the "Bolsheviks.
