ENMSTmra <umm ag®. By Telegraph—Press Association. Mmerston N., Aug. 27. A youth was charged at tho Magistrate's Court this morning with giving hia wrong age in order to enlist. He was convicted, but no fine was imposed. Major McDonnell said a number of similar esses had cost tine Government a lot of money, through parents asking for the release of their sons, some of the young men having got as far as England. No fine was asked for, faiit the department wanted the present ease to be a lesson to young men tempted to enlist under tie military age. TO CONSERVE THE DAIM ESDUSIBy.
