Langley, was still dangeroiMly ill on Jnly 16.
Sir Eric Geddes, First Lord of the Admiralty, has been elected member for Cambridge Borough without opposition, Mr. A. H. Paget having resigned his seat.
The High Commissioner cables thai peneral Sir Alexander Godley has been awarded the Cross of Commander of thu Legion of Honor by the French President.
Yesterday mornings hospital report states that 'Private. -T. I*>aa'illl) (Hawera) has been removed from the dangerously ill list, and that Private E. E. King (Bell Block) is not reported m a severe case.
News has been reeaived that LanceCorporal 11. Y. McGahey was-ono of the seven New Zealanders who recently received a Meritorious Serviw certificate. The certificate is signed by General Rodley, and the qualifications are that the recipient must have been under fire, not mentioned in despatches, and served at least 12 months on home service.
