(This refers to the eighth series of sales previously Qxed for"sth December.) ELTHAM SALE. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Co. held their usual fortnigntly sale in the Eltham yards on Wednesday. Fat cows were in demand and ran from £ll 10s to £l3 17s Od. Store cows ranged from £8 as to £9 Bs.. Yearling bulls £8 12 Cd. Yearling to 15-month heifers £0 Ss Gd to £6 I7s. Yearling steers, ordinary £7 8d; springing heifers £8 15s to £l6. Dairy calved cows £ls. A good line of 16-month steers 'was passed in at £8 19s. Pigs: Good slips brought up to 13s Cd. " BURNSIDB. Dunedin, Novc-mbir At Burnside to-day 150 fat cattle were penned. The finality was very good, andcompetition was fairly keen, prices being much on a par with last week's rates. On Tuesday last, November 28, we held a sale of the above. in consequence of this sale having been put on two weeks, we offered six week's stuff, and had a full catalogue, our store being taxed to its fullest capacity. Buyers were keen after all the lines offered, and the prices realised for hides and skins were excellent. It was our last sale for the year and it would seem that it was intended to be a record.
