In connection with the coal miners' <i,rike in Australia, a oonference is to be hold in Wellington to-night between the Ifons. Allen and Mac Donald and representatives of the coal mine owners, New Zealand Miners' Federation, shipping companies and Waterside Workers' Federation, in reference to the shipment of coal for Austinlia.
It is not anticipated there will be any trouble regarding coal for New Zealand transports, but the miners will have to be. perfectly satisfied it is for that purpose only. It is understood the miners will absolutely refuse to allow any other toal to be shipped to Australia, or anything being done likely to jeopardise the position of the miners on strike there.
