The New York World says that arrests in connection with a plot for the alleged smuggling of 25,001 V' dollars worth of jewellery into the United States has revealed the existence of a private ship express whereby the Germans in New York regularly sent and received letters to and from agents in Copenhagen by Scandinavian vessels. It is alleged that the system violated the United States statutes and del'eafetl the British censorship. The World says that a representative of the Deutsche Bank admits giving as much as 101) dollars for the conveyance of a letter to Copenhagen. The extent to which the system was used is to be investigated.
