The Morning Post's Capetown correspondent states that General Botha's statement regarding the recrudescence of the rebellious movement in the Free State and elsewhere need not cause surprise or alarm, it being common knowledge that the Nationalist irreconcilables are not setting any limits to the endeavour to free the State from Bothaists. There are also grounds for suspecting German agents -who have not yet all been run to earth. Official: General van der Venter, on the morning of August 21, attacked Kilossa, the fighting lasting all day long. A column was detached at night time to attack Okata, twenty-four miles eastward, with a view to assisting General Van der Venter. This movement was successful, Kilossa being »«upied on August 22, the enemy retir(M (• the south-east.
