A la' «re number of lit rses were worked at Ellerslie this morning, but the majority were restricted to steady pacing. All the sprints registered were R'jval Chef, four furlongs in 521-ssec; Tatterley the same in S0 4-ssec; Pursefiller a round, the last ?even furlongs in 1 364-5; Naupata and Scrutineer the same distance, the last seven furlongs in 139: Glenroy four furlongs in SO4-5; Crown Pearl and Captain Miro did a round of the hurdles, fencing well. The weather promises to be fine.
