A VOTE FOR CONSCRIPTION. Sydney, April 27. The annual conference of the Australian Natives' Association passed a motion in favor of conscription, a delegate saying that men who did not enlist were loafing on the sweat of other mens' brows. SUGGESTED ANZAC MEMORIAL. Sydney, April 27. Referring to Anzac Day, Mr. Wade said the collection for the memorial was disappointing, lleeasks soldiers not to be discouraged, as the obligation rests on every Government to provide a memorial at the expense of the State. CHAMBERS OF COMMERCE CONFERENCE. Received April 28, I a.m. Sydney, April 27. The annual conference of the New South Wales Chambers of Commerce resolved in favor of encouragement of trade within the Empire; surtaxing and marking enemy goods; and Government co-operation in establishing laboratoriw and centres of scientific research. Tlio conference condemned the Government lh'ing prices as being inimical to industrial and commercial progress.
