STRATFORD NEWS.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) ' Stratford, Yesterday. The Stratford Hospital Board 'lias struck a Did rate, for the ensuing year, over the comities of Stratford ' and Whangamomona, and the borough of Stratford. This is probably one of the lowest rates in the Dominion. Mr. Sam McAllister has been unanimously re-elected chairman of the Stratford Hospital Board. Members spoke highly of the manner he had eonducted the work during past years. A man named Kenny met with a painfull accident lit Mr. Xewton King's garage on Tuesday. Dr. Steven attended the patient, who was removed to his home. The injury resulted in the loss of a finger point. It is inite on the cards that all available cheese will leave flic Patea and Nov. Plymouth works during 'this month, as cheese is urgently required at the front. Butter will have to wait a while.
