Mr. C. A. Wilkinson, M.P., purposes introducing a Bill during the coming session >f Parliament providing for the total abolition of toll gates. If tlie measure becomes law there will, of necessity, have to be certain re-arrangements as to subsidies payable by one .county to another, and financial readjustments between various ridings in several counties. Provision will be made in the Bill for the setting up of a Commission to decide all these matters, should the counties themselves be unable to do so. HUAUTY COMES FROM WITHIN.
