THE FETE OF NATIONS.' iW} Practices are being held every after* noon and evening for the staging of the above, and Mr. Lints is more. tfc*n pleased with the progress made, Grand March of tho Allies in "a v*r>! spectacular item which will include ovet 120 performers, in which will also be introduced the human background or escalade. The Dutch dance, which wiß be danced by a squad of eight ladies suitably dressed, will be quite up tft the standard of other towns where the item had to be repeated two and three / times each evening. Another popular ' item wil be "My Pretty Quaker which will be sung by Miss M. Thompson, supported by a chorus of H ladies dressed in Quaker grey with white f*e« ings, bonnets, etc. For "The Grand Empire Flag Marsh," Mr. Lints has brought with him specially constructed am* brellas, which open flat and square, and when three are joined together make on* large flag. This is always a very popular march. Mrs. Birch Johnston will be heard to advantage in "Whistle It.* For this item a special dance has been arranged, and the public are promised something out of the ordinary. The programme will be changed every second night, and Mr. Lints gives us to understand the Fete of Nations ig not an ordinary bazaar programme, but practically a professional perforaiiMKS staged by amateurs.
