BRICKLAYERS AND SHEARER?. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. A conference of delegates to the Brick* layers' Federation commenced in Wellington ito-day. Mr. T. Sketon (retiring president) was in the chair, and the principal business done during the morn* ing was the selection of neat year's meet* ing place. Dunedin was decided upon, and as that town will be the headquarters for the interrening twelve months, the Dunedin delegates were elected to the Executive office. Mr. A. Hern was chosen president, and Mr. J. Hilton, secretary. The New Zealand Shearers' Association has now become merged, with the various organisations of rural workers, and has changed its name to Agricultural and Pastoral Workers' Union. The intention is to establish an organisatin on the same lines as the Australian * Workers' Union. Mr. C. Gravndler has been elected secretary.
