DRANGE BLOSSOMS.

WEDDING AT OKATO,

(From a Correspondent)

A very pretty wedding was solemnised at St. Paul's Church, Okato, on Wednesday, Oct. 27, when Mr. E. 0. Julian was married to Miss H. L. Magon, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. Magon, of Warca road. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. C. Addenbrooke. The bride looked beautiful in a graceful gown of white silk, with wreath and veil. The bridesmaids were Misses C. Magon, T. Clarke, and E. Julian, who wore pretty frocks of white muslin, trimmed with embroidery, with pink sashes and white hat, trimmed with pink, and carrying pink and white bouquets, supplied by Miss Winnie Larking. Mr. Raj. Julian ably filled the part of best man. After the ceremony the party assembled at the residence of the bride's parents, where-the guests were entertained at a reception. The usual toasts were honored. In the evening a dance was given by the bridegropm's parents, and the hall was packed with friends from far and near. The bride and bridegroom then left for New Plymouth, to catch the train for Wanganui, where the honeymoon is to be spent. The bridegroom's present to the bride was a gold necklace, and the bride's present to the bridegroom a greenstone pendant. The presents of friends were both useful- and valuable including numerous cheques. The dance in the evening was very successful. Thanks are due to Mr. and Mrs. T. Julian for 9iich an enjoyable evening.
