Colonel Cosgrove d'ned with the District Committee at i; •. at the White Hart Hotel. At", o'cioek' he inspected the Scouts in the Wbitciey Hall, and at S.llfl he met the nllieeis in the Town Hall. There was a capital r.: as tor of Scout* at the Whiteley Hall to meet the Commissioner. Scouts from the St Man's Vogeltowii, Central, Te Henui, and Whiteley Church corps were present the total strength being over lift v. flieir appearance was excellent, and drew merited praise from the Comm'.s'nner. The Scouts went through exercises In signalling, ambulance, knottins and bandaging, and the excellence of their work induced the commander to express appreciation of what he had seen, \ After the parade, Commissioner CosaroVe met the Scoutmasters of Taranaki at a private meeting. The Commissioner will go to Hawern to-dav.
