SUPREME COURT.
SESSION AT NEW PLYMOUTH. A session of the Supreme Court will be opened at the New Plymouth Courthouse at 11 o'clock to-morrow morning. My. Justice Denniston will preside, and it is expected the business set down will occupy two days. The criminal calendar is light. George Evans, who has pleaded guilty to theft from a dwelling and forgery (three charges) and uttering, will come up for sentence, and Harry Brunsdon will be placed on trial on a charge of mischief and cattle stealing. The following civil business will be taken:—Elizabeth Sharrock v. Eoget Sharrock (Mr. A. H. Johnstone), an application to set aside transfer of land; Sarah Marsh (Mr. P. E. Baldwin) v. Taranaki Education Board (Mr. J. H. Quilliam), for a declaration that certain land now vested in the defendant and held under a Crown grant, should still remain native land; William Duirs and others (Mr. R. G. Sellar) v. Joliiah Hunt (Mr. B. McCarthy), damages for alleged trespass and an injunction. There are a number of matters to be dealt with in Banco, including five applications under the Mortgages Extension Act. Several Chamber matters are also set down. There is one divorce case, Jane Beeston' (Mr. H. R. Billing), applying for a dissolution of her marriage with Alfred Beeston, on the grounds of desertion. There are four applications for discharge from bankruptcy, as follows: Bernard Byrn, motor engineer, New Plymouth (Mr. F. E. Wilson); Alexander Aitken. waggoner, Otakeho (Mr. D. Hutchen); Lui Moon Lum, shopkeeper's assistant, Manaia (Mr. Hutchen); James Henry Rowe, laborer Tongaporutu (Mr. J. C. Nicholson).'
