FARM AND DAIRY.
At the Wi'llowvale Stud Farm, Hell Block, on Wednesday next, Mr. Newton King will hold his annual sale of pedigree Ilolstein Friesians. With the high prices ruling for dairy produce at tiie present time it behoves ail dairy fanners to procure as early as possible the best bull for their herd that is procurable, and in this connection Mr. King's sale offers an exceptional opportunity. This herd's reputation is known not only throughout Taranaki, but through the whole of the Dominion, as the progeny of the cows that have been sent from the province have proved equally as good as their dams, and tie young bulls sent away have turned out great sires. One has only to turn up the records that have been given from time to time. As prize-winners this herd is quite without its equal in this class, having won championships on end at all the best allows throughout the Dominion. The young bulls to be offered this season are of exceptional quality, quite up to the other years' productions, and are well worth travelling .s n m 0 distance, to see. The female cattle are choice, and include that weli-known cow "Rosine 3rd do Kol.'' dam of Lady Eor.ine. who made the great return of 510.931b butter-fat in Hi days. This fine co'w is in calf to King Fayne Segks 2nd, and a calf from this combination should be invaluable. At the same time and place Mr. Kin" is also offering, on account of Mr. Harold Street, a fine lot of young bulls aud sevoral pedigree cows. These cattle are mostly by that great dairv bull Cliffside Laddie, a winner of numerous championships in his day.
