ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
WOMAN KILLED BY TRAIN. Masterton, August G. Mrs. A. W. Krahagen, of Carterton, fell or jumped from the train as it was leaving Masterton station for the north this evening. Her neck was broken, and she sustained other injuries. Death must have been instantaneous, A BOY KILLED. Puiiedin, August 0. A boy nafijed Jaines Wardrop, who resilled on Npi'tli Taieri Road, was admitted to hospital ii| an unconscious condition this evening, and expired so-.ni afterwards. It appears that he fell over a bank while playing near his home, and received fatal injuries to liis head. OLD WOMAN'S DEATH. Auckland, August 0. At the imiuest ppiicenimg the death ot Mrs. Annie Mumford, who icas fpnnd dead in a burning house, the Corpivr stated there was no evidence of foul play, although the circumstances at ilrst seemed suspicious. Death was probably due to deceased striking her head against the sharp corner of the sofa, as the result of a fall, though the evk'.uie; did not show exactly how the accident occurred,
