The mooting tendered to Mr J. II Nelson a cordial welcome to the circuit, in Ulio capacity of home missionary. Resolutions of sympa'/hy with iicveral bereaved families were adopted. The .tinaneJal statement pre.>ented b\ Messrs C. Carter and R. Pepperell (circuit stewards) was regarded, on the whole, as satisfactory. The nuniileriwtl statement showed a substantial increase in membership, and the Sunday School returns were also satisfactory.
The ministers accepted Me"cordial invitation of the stewards to remain in ..'.'he circuit a second year. The next District Synod is to> be held in New Plymouth, an! it, was agreed 'that Messrs O. Carter and F. W. Okev be the circuit's buy, representatives to this assembly.
