A GENERAL POST By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, June 4. Several transfers of inspectors of factories arc to bo made by the Labor Department shortly in order to fill three vacancies that recently occurred. The positions to be filled are those of inspector in charge of Wellington city, officer in charge at Christchureh and second inspector at Christchureh. The position of inspector in charge at, Wellington will be filled by the promotion of Mr H, Moston, inspector at Wanganui, whose place will, be taken by Mr .Johns, inspector for Auckland. The vacancy caused by Mr John's transfer will he filled by the appointment of a new- inspector. The position of officer in charge in Christchureh will be filled by the promotion of the present Invercargill inspector, Mr H, B. Bower, who will be replaced by Mr G. 11. Lightfoot, inspector at Timaru. The vacancy at Timaru will be filled by the transfer of Mr A. Donald, inspector at Wellington, whose place will be occupied by the transfer of Mr Rafley, Dunedin. The latter's office will bo filled by the appointment of a clerk. The post of aciI ond inspector at Christchureh will he taken by Mr W. T. Bailey, Wellington, who will be succeeded by Mr W. Slaughter, inspector at New Plymouth. Mr J. Arnold, Dunedin, takes charge of New Plymouth. A new junior inspector will shortly be appointed in Dunedin.
