The newspaper Citizen, the organ of the Independent Conservatives, says that Mr Emmerson's objection to the appointment of a Royal Prince as Gov-enior-Ktiieral is symptomatic of the growth of tbe democratic spirit in a country where titles are utterly out of harmony with the aspirations of the builders of the nation*.
