SUMMARY AND FORECAST. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. Following is Mr. D. C. Bates' weather summary for the past 24 hours: — The centre of a small cyclonic disturbance passed through Cook Strait iuring the night, northerly winds giving (face to southerlies to-day, and the barometer rose considerably in the South. Uoudy and misty weather with rain has been experienced generally. Forecast.—Present indications are for Btrong southerly winds northward of Rew Plymouth and Napier, and southeasterlies elsewhere. Weather cold and showery on the coast, but improving generally soon, with a rising barometer everywhere.
