THE WINTER SHOW.

The Taranalri, Poultry, Pigeon and Canary Society, which is incorporated with the Agricultural Society, is holding its annual exhibition in conjunction with the Winter Show. The North Island Poultry, Pigeon and Canary Association have allocated championships as follows: Pigeons—Magpie £1 Is, tumbler £1 Is, owls and turbits £1 Is, homer £3 3s, and dragoon £1 Is. Present indications are that all previous records will be beaten, especially as many of the most successful breeders and exhibitors from outside have signified their intention df sending along their best birds. In addition to each special, the society itself is giving gold medals for the best bird exhibited in several of the sections. Entries for this section close, on May 30 at 9 p.m. with the secretary, but intending exhibitors aJe asked to forward entries before this date if possible, in erder to facilitate the secretarial work.
