BERNARD'S PICTURES.
A fascinating story of a deal in diamonds is idle, star offering in Ike cliange of programme to be screened at Ilis Majesty'» Theatre to-night. The lilm is chiefly "concerned with the operations of a, wily gang o£ diamond dealers who attempt to "rig" tile market by means of a glut in diamonds. The stones are what are known in the trade as "black diamonds.'' and made by the hundred from carbon. A detective is put on the track of the gang, but is worsted in an exciting pursuit right to the end, when the head of the diamond-makers, losing heart, commits suicide, and brings an exciting picture to a dramatic conclusion. "The Medal of Honor" is a story of love, magnanimity extraordinary, and stirring incident. It is concerned with the romance of a fireman hero, who lets another take the credit of his own bravery. and very nearly loses the girl who goes with the credit. A fine lire-fight-ing scene is included. "11l the Elemental World" is a story which harks back to nature. It portrays the struggles of mere man against forest wilderness. The supporting films are all attractive, interesting and amusing.
