An Overland Triumph in Hill-climbing in the Canterbury Trials The Canterbury Automobile Association's Reliability Trials on March 6th and 7th (Christchurch to Akaroa via Rakaia and back) proved another . opportunity for the Overland to achieve distinction. On the second day the Overland Touring Car, fully equipped, made a wonderful performance in an exhibition of hill climbing, arriving Home One Hour Ahead of all Others This car was a stock model just unpacked from a shipment at the last • moment, and such a performance is the more remarkable in an untested car. The Overland was one of only three cars which had a non-stop run on' the second day. Extract from letter received from Mr. George Watson, Pahiatua: " Just a line to let you kmio that I have just finished a contract with the Pahiatua-Pongaroa Motor Co. Just to show yon how the OVERLA NDS stand up to their work, I will give you a few particulars. I Kan on this contract a month and four days, doing SO miles a day over the worst roads that you could find anywhere, and I was always loaded, having 4jS passengers and myself also 6 bags of mails and papers and'parcels. Well, I never had a'stop or a breakage of any sort and I had some very wet trips. The last day I had on the job the roads were very greasy and I was an hour late and I was taking a sharp turn when the back wheel skidded and over the bank we went, a drop of forty jeet. " Well, we got the car up on the road a few days later and she started just as good as ever and we drove her into Pahiatua ami got a few things fixed np and she has been running ever since—not a bad record, what do you say .* lam going ill for a 10U Overland when you can let me have one. If you want service, convenience, strength, simplicity and reliability in a moderate-priced car—buy an Overland. • Write (or Catalogue and further Information to: North Island Agents, A.
