C.E.M.S. ACTIVITIES. •MORE VIGOROUS METHODS ADVO- i CATED. By Telegraph—Press Association. ' Dunedin, Last Night. At tlie Church of England Men's So- ; ciety this afternoon, Mr. H. Banner, in ' seconding the motion for the adoption of , the Military Camp Institute's reports, , said that members of the Society should do work at the camps, but finance should be the care of the executive. Work in military camps was the first , aggressive work the Society "had done. Mr. H. G. Stevens suggested keeping a eamp register, so that the Society would be uible to keep in touch with the men afterwards. It was decided to request tho general secretary to circularise all branches in the Dominion, urging them to place spir- , itual life of fane work first and make prayer and Bible study the chief object " of meetings, Communion to be the chief ' act of worship. It was further decided to recommend all branches to make sustained endeavors to go out and win men for Christ, either through missions or open-air services, or in any other way adapted to local needs, and also to urge encouragement of open-air preaching by clergymen and laymen on Saturday evenings and Sunday afternoons in busy centres.
