IB the 440 yds, Parker (U.BA.) broke the Australasian record time of 49 l-ssee. The American made short work of tha opposition, winning easily by ten yards. Both Parker and Power had a (peat reception on returning to the pavilion. Templeton was too heavily handicapped, but showed to great advantage in both the 120yd# hurdles and the pole-vaulting. In the former lie was just beaten. Though giving away a big start in the pole-vault," he cleared lift lin, and iust failed to beat his own record of lift. 0. Caugbcy " (U.S.A.), in putting the shot contest, covered 44ft 0y 2 in, also an Australasian record.
